Who We Are

about our organization

Bloom for Growth stems from the vision of a few like minded individuals based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Our belief is that a white heart with the right amount of passion
can change the world. Just as we would flower our water and provide them with sunlight, our mission is to provide individuals with the right resources to help them bloom into their most beautiful form. It is a tough mission but with the right amount of passion, we are certain we can have our flower bud bloom as well.

What is Eid Al- Adha?

Eid Al-Adha is one of the two Muslim holidays. The words End AL-Adha translate into The Festival of Sacrifice and it takes place after Hajj, the annual pilgrimage of Muslims to Mecca. Apart from going to morning prayers, visiting family and friends and exchanging gifts, Muslims also sacrifice
a small animal(goat or sheep) to remember Prophet Abraham's trial and devotion to God. Prophet Abraham was ordered by God to sacrifice his son and for His obedience, God relieved him of the duty and had him sacrifice a goat instead. The meat from the animal is then passed out to family, friends and to the poor. The act of sacrificing the animal is in not meant to be a sacrifice of blood or relief of sin. It is a symbolism of obedience, willingness to share our bounties, and clean our hearts to strengthen the ties of friendship and helping those in need.

Eid al-Fitr means ‘Feast of breaking of the fast and it is the holy festival that marks the end of Ramadan – the holy month of fasting observed by Muslims. It begins on the last night of Ramadan and allows Muslims to break the month long duty of fasting.

It is a sacred celebration and includes a mandatory donation to charity which will conclude the duties of Ramdan. In the morning, marking the beginning of Eid al-Fitr Muslims will gather at the Mosque for  prayer,  and afterwards begin their celebrations with family, friends and food. This is a joyous times for those who spent the month of Ramadan fasting and praying, as they are released of their religious obligation and have been forgiven of their sins.
